St. Vincent and the Grenadines - St. Vincent - coast - s.v. photo
1. The infrastructure is more developed than in Grenada
2. Traveling to Bequia, the largest island of the Grenadines, on the Bequia Express Ferry (luckily the sea was quiet)
3. Princess Margaret Beach on Bequia island
4. Charming, peaceful Caribbean vibe
5. Good that the big cruise ships do not stop here
6. Freshly fried jackfish with exotic vegetables
7. Tobago Cays for snorkeling
8. The tiny alcohol-selling shacks, rum shops along the beach are quite exotic by their frequency and the drunken clientele.
9. The school kids with their neat uniforms
10. The Rasta Market of Bequia with the fresh, aromatic fruits
11. The unpeopled Hope Beach
12. Hiking on some easy trails
1. Tried but failed to appreciate the black volcanic sand on some beaches
2. The sea was quite rough on the ferry back to Saint Vincent and one of us got seasick
4. Hotels are expensive
5. The small van drivers are crazy
6. Some minor country roads are almost impossible to get through
7. Public safety is not the best
8. St. Vincent, is dreadfully depressing, dire poverty
9. We have seen some smaller kids who seem to suffer some malnutrition
10. As the cruise ships are almost leaning over the city
