Split - p.b. h photo

“The Dalmatians, I’ve found, have not abandoned the traditions of Adriatic piracy, and especially its style. On one occasion in Split, our car, which we parked in a perfectly regular way, was masterfully removed from the row of cars, and only by paying a sum large enough to cut short our holiday was we able to get it back.” (N. L., 2015)

“Transport is good, and the whole of Split is linked by a bus network. A meal for two in a restaurant costs about twenty-five or thirty dollars. Spectacular plants. Palm trees, kiwis, figs, pomegranate trees, and huge aloe vera. The surrounding islands are easily accessible by boat. The sea is clear. There are only a few sandy beaches – pebble beaches are more typical. That's why beach shoes are recommended. There are many grocery stores where you can get what you need for breakfast. Most people speak some English, but if they don’t, and you don’t speak Croatian, they may not have patience for sign language. There is only one restaurant on the beach. No bakery, pizzeria, pancake house, or anything like that. But I’d still recommend Split to everyone.” (Z.a., 2019)
