Wroclaw - Old Town (Stare Miasto) upgraded by a strawberry&lemon ice cream - p.j. photo

“I'm trying to grasp the essence of Wroclaw, but I can't seem to get a hold of it. It's kind of like that box of chocolate sweets in which there are all kinds of chocolates, and all of them are good, but you’re not sure how they all fit together.
I admit, at first, I wasn't so wowed by the city, I didn't feel its heartbeat, it was just objectively beautiful and pleasant. But it conquered me slowly, by degrees, like a persistent suitor. It's definitely a good thing that I let myself go. I had to see many of its faces to fall in love with the place: the touristic downtown, the charming Ostrow Tumski; the riverbank with boats, rowers, young people, and parks; the quiet, outskirts; and the liveliness of the evening (at 9 p.m. people are walking around, going this way and that), the vivacious nightlife, and the evening illuminations.” (2018)
