Transport

  1. Severe accidents of intercity buses are not rare, with large numbers of fatalities and injuries. It is risky to take the bus to Machu Picchu via Santa Teresa and Hidroelectrica, as they drive on unpaved mountain roads. It is far safer to get to Machu Picchu by train via Aguas Calientes. (2020)
