“It’s worth making Geneva part of any tour around Switzerland, if only because it’s the easiest way to include a drive around Lake Geneva. Still, Geneva itself has much less beauty and character than either Bern or Lucerne.
There are plenty of attractive buildings and parks in the city, but the old town is nothing special, and overall Geneva has a slightly stiff, uptight atmosphere, despite its cultural and geographical proximity to France, which has a more relaxed lifestyle.
It is a very international city, but even this somehow never succeeds in generating much color or dynamism. There are enough attractions to keep a visitor busy for a couple of days, but nothing really sensational. I doubt many tourists really fall in love with Geneva.

From the airport to the city center and the Cornavin train station, take bus # 10, the journey takes 15-20 minutes. Or take the train, departing every 7-12 minutes, and the journey takes about 10 minutes.

The Jet d'Eau

That is one of the largest fountains in the world. Every second at a 200 km/h speed lifts 500 liters of water to a height of 140 meters. There are approximately 7000 liters of water in the air at the same time. If the weather conditions are bad (for example, strong winds), the fountain is turned off. It does not work at night.
